I first want to say that I did not see the on track incident and I had my headset off at the time but I do hope people realize that the majority of the staff at Sunset do try to do our job well. I had to flag in corner 2 one night and let me tell you its not easy. I am in no way defending or agreeing with the call that was made. I only viewed it on the video and I did not hear the radio tranmission in question. But I hope the fans don't leave. Take your concerns to the appropriate people. Talk to Steve or Mark. I had concerns with my position and things that were happening and after speaking with Mark Saturday night, I really felt like I was heard and my concerns were addressed. And remember that us staff, most of us anyways, do this job because we LOVE the sport and love being at the track. I would just hate to see anyone leave over this.
Drivers, crews and Sunset staff give up almost all of our Saturdays each and every week so that we can put on a great show for the fans! Talk to management before making any decisions. just my opinion.

The first thing I did when I got home was email Mark, (cc Linda Jones) and as of 30 seconds ago I have had no reply. Three times I have taken my boys to Sunset this year, and two of them they have left very dissapointed because their favorite driver (47) has been sent to the back for no reason. Why get involved and interested in a championship race when it is brutally clear that it is being "controlled". The fact that he is even close is a miracle. The one positive is that my boys have got to see several other quality tracks this year (Ohsweken, Flambourogh, Barrie and Kawartha!)
The word quality and flamboro should not be used in the same sentence!
;D Their burgers are good!
I wonder how may emails Brian France gets from the fans ???
What makes it right for the 47 to be sent to the back? I have never seen anyone else get sent to the back for being a few inches out of position on a restart.
Should be very interesting to watch the restarts from now on , now that this new rule has been implemented , should make for some very exciting restarts, black flag for jumping a restart no warnings just go to the back.I guess you could say precedent has been set.
