  The Autumn Colours is a fine example . No Barrie driver won any division , and more pertinent to this conversation No Barrie bred driver in the top 5 in LLM other then two long time former Sunset drivers that have gone on to dominate at Barrie in their declining years.

My point exactly, after Barrie the drivers move up1- NASCAR 2- OSCAR 3-HOOTERS if you master Barrie you can go anywhere. That is a great compliment to those who drive at Barrie

  I will assume you are very young and your statement is based on naivety and not stupidity .  Historically the vast majority of Barrie drivers have struggled when racing away from the 8th line of Oro . I cant really think of a single home grown Barrie champion that had much success else where. Over the years Flamboro , Delaware , Sunset , Pinecrest , Nilestown , Checkered Flag , Cayuga , Speedway Park (Stoney Creek) are the tracks that have produced the best drivers in Canada.

Pinecrest you must be the opposite as your revel in yester year, the records show that Richard Petty is far superior to any other Nascar driver racing today but was he ?. Your home grown statement is probably true ,there were many great racers from different era's who could and did win away from home, Cook, Ross, Beiderman and Hanley to name a mere few,but in the last 20 years things have changed l can only think of Walters (who you  unnecessarily slandered in a prior post-- it must be your blood sugar) who has been able to win all over Ontario, as has been said no body has won as many invitationals at different tracks as Walters.

  Lets get one thing out of the way first . .

  Slander= is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied .
Since the statement was not false it would not be slander.

  Knowing the facts and the history of the sport here in Canada is not reveling in yester year. Since this is Canadian Racing Online and we are discussing racing in Canada I will disregard the Petty reference since other then running his very first race here in 1959 I don't know of any relevance Richard has to Canadian racing .

  You say Walters has been able to win at tracks all over Ontario , this is a blatantly false statement.  Unlike the drivers you named Cook, Ross, Beiderman, and Hanley ,Walters has never been able to win so much as a heat race on a track 1/2 mile or bigger . Walters can get the job done in a Bull Ring where he can root guys out of the way or race all night in the mirror but he could never make the transition from just another plow boy in a fast car.

You say things have changed in the last 20 years hell things haven't changed in the last 40 years other then the compitition isn't as stout.

Point#1- He dominated at Kawartha last year and won the Championship with countless heat wins and Feature wins, and to my knowledge this track is a 3/8 mile wich is close enough!!!

Point#2 He has won races at Cayuga and to my knowledge this is a 5/8 mile.

Point#3 He has never ran with a mirror since around 1979 when Beiderman told him he would go faster without one.

And that's the facts.

Pinecrest you must go to sunset and watch the late models, because if you went to Barrie last year you would have seen the best racing in years maybe the best ever and thats the words of race fans who have watched for years, and for those slanderous comments about Walters im glad you know what slander is because thats what you do,you communicate a false claim.
