I think the key thou here for what Harold was saying was the fact that at least he's spreading the word himself and it's a start. It's better than just having rumblings going around.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not attacking Harold in any way, and sure it's a start that Wes is clearing things up himself. All I'm trying to get at is to not give Wes the "go ahead" to make random postings on CRO where only a handful will read it. Wes needs to be more professional in the way he makes his decisions and his announcements, which in turn means not posting it on CRO. That's all.
Actaully you guys need to lay off him a bit. I understand there are a select few that will say anything to try and hurt/get revenge on the place. But for the rest of you, why start stupid rumors?
The information on this site for the most part, often is an insiders view of what will happen before its made public. Its a pitty that some people choose to jerpodize the site's and their own credibility. Its sad an owner has to come here with an annoncement to correct the obvious.....
Actually, these weren't seen around as just pure "obvious" facts due to a lot of the rumors that were going on. Thou you are right - this is an insider view and kind of gives a heads-up of what "could" happen. So partly I will give you credit that you're right, but on the other side, you're wrong about the "obvious"
Unfortunately its too little, too late for me. Im running at Barrie next year.
You think they are going to allow 16V cars next year @ Barrie do you ?
I would have to see a set of rules from Sunset and get a firm commitment that the rules would not change over the season before considering going back . Barrie has all the NASCAR crap to deal with and a horrible configuration . Mosport would be my choice if Bassett would let Jap 4 cyl cars run . I think if i was smart i would put a dirt set up in the car and run Merritt and Humberstone .
Put us down as undecided for 09
HORRIBLE CONFIGURATION? only for those who either can't drive or is scared of real door handle to door handle racing!
Get your car to work at Barrie and you are FAST anywhere!
And from talking to people in the know, 16 valves will be allowed next year (to be discussed at drivers meeting)...
From my very limited exposure,I would say that Barrie is an excellent configuration. The corners are completely different,a very low speed corner 1 with an increasing radius and an extremely high speed corner three with a decreasing radius.Makes it a very technical track to drive. You also need a real big set of cajones to throw it in on the high side of corner three while outside someone.IF i lived closer to Barrie i would be a regular, hands down.
And while the *rumour* mill is going, methinks that Barrie will not be the only new track to allow 16 valves next year..............................................
