OSCAAR:

1st-Rob Clarke

2nd-T.J. Woolsey

3rd-Glenn Watson

Feature race was a pretty good one, T.J. clearly imo had the best car on the longer run, and was right on Rob's bumper until a late race yellow came out..and with only 3 to go it was all Clarke.  fairly clean race had a few  re-start..yellow..re-start...yellow...re-start...yellow problems about mid-race but other then that clean race.

19 cars as well this week, but a few different drivers then Kawartha.

Thunder Cars:

Tammy Milligan

Solid race, Tammy made the pass for the lead early in the race on a 3 wide! move on the bottom, as the leaders were all bunched up and got 3 wide at one point for the lead.

4cly:

Kenny Britt

Whata! battle for the lead between Kenny Britt & Mike Zinkie, as they traded the lead mutiple times in the closing laps..even going 4 wide splitting lap cars down the front stretch with only a couple laps to go..really was an exciting race.

To bad the huge crowed that was on hand...was about 70% gone by the time the 4cly feature started.... :-

One thing I'm not liking was during the 4cly feature a car stalled on the grass...out of the way per say..but still could easily get hit if another car went off....and them not throwing a yellow, not only could it cause damage to both cars if somebody else was to get off track..but also the guy sitting there will not be "braced for impact" and it could seriously hurt somebody. just a small beef I have with the way I'v seen Sunset do things, but never the less my 2nd trip there so far in 08..and have enjoyed both nights no dout.

also..I think I can read your mind Spenc, just as you were interviewing the top 3 for OSCAAR..and you were heading over to Clarke...I said in my head "and now to the man of the hour"  and littlary a split second after I said that...you say over the PA "and now to the man of the hour" LOL.

3-wide  -  was the 40 mini stock (Mike Zinkie) 2nd?  I
was shooting photos, and missed that altogether.
There was a lot of 3 wide racing throughout the mini feature.
(i'll have to check - i think i even have a shot of them 4 wide).

I think it was #8, believe it was Mike's old car from last year that use to be the #40. but he was filling in tonight....I'm not to sure though...one of the sunset regulars will be able to shed some more light on the situation I'm sure

Yeah, i had #8 in second, but i dont know who was driving it.
The sunset web site has the points #8 as Rob Gibson Jr.

Great run whoever it was.
(Spencer? - he'll know).
