All this cheating talk is makin my head hurt. If you cant run with the top dogs, do what they do cheat. It's not like the rest of the classes cheat! Have you ever seen the top 8 in the TC. There legal, arent they?

And by the way what Matt11 said makes total sense to me.  Why can't you  take constructive criticism and work with it???
You don't have to agree and obviously some people like these cars (primarily the people driving them) but Iagree that safety is a major issue here.

Please explain to me how "reminding" us all that the four funs were instituted by Glenn is helping ANYTHING

Kudos to Doherty!! I applaude you for (a) Pointing out the obvious, safety. Brendan, I thought you were on a suicide mission when you accepted that position but you learned quickly that no matter what you try to tech, half the time you will be over ruled by higher authority. (b) you also brought to light that yes, half the field leaves their cars at the track in a heap on their pads or dirt spots making the track look like a scrap yard and most of them are not the competitive ones that do no maintenance whatsoever or even hit the track for extra practice on weds, but they are normally the first to complain.......and as far as running the opposite way, thats just russian roulet with safety! absolute ludicris!! I know for a fact that our policy stated back in 2000 that cars must run one direction (counter clockwise) or "all" coverage was void opening up the door for a flood of lawsuites! Cant see them changing that from then to now?? Good to hear that Nicole is ok, but just imagine if they had of been running the feature backwards and she hit the wall down the backstretch!!! guys at the bottom of the off ramp would have had a new neighbour!
But seeing as how we are on the topic of safety in the four death class, what about the drivers who wear t-shirt, shorts, and running shoes with no socks! almost spit my water everywhere when I saw that, and that was the same feature that a car caught fire! If you dont make safety top priority, some people arent smart enough to take it upon themselves to be safe.....hence baby sitting!
Brendan, good choice and you have my support, you are better off not having your name tagged to a serious injury becuase the powers to be cant see unsafe garbage when it is sitting in front of them......you just dont need the BS dude!

Brendan, I completly understand your decision.  I hate that you feel you have to resign, but I agree, no matter what you do, you are always over ruled by  someone above you.  Been there many times working at the track and recently have considered leaving myself.

Going backwards is just plain wrong. I happen to be the official standing in corner 3 when the 17 car came onto the exit full speed.  It was either come off there or hit the wall, so I understand why he came off, however being the person that was there...that was WAY TOO CLOSE TO HITTING ME!!!
What happens next time when either the official can't get out of the way in time or the car hits the wall on the drivers side or even hits those tires????  I really dont want to think of what could happen the next time.

I really do wonder if we should be taking Barrie Speedway's lead here and change setup on the Four Funs and have the faster ones or the ones that are consistantly winning/up front, move up to the Four Cyl. division...WITH everyone having full cages and all the safety equipment that comes with the 4 Cylinders.
I think that when they were introduced, it was never believed that the division would end up with so many cars.  Limiting the number in the feature is a step in the right direction, but without the proper safety in those cars its still a disaster waiting to happen.

Whatever happends something needs to be done.  Either make the cars safe or I hate to say it but get rid of the class itself.  While I would hate to say goodbye to my drivers if they decided not to move up to 4 cyl, I would rather see that happen than have someone seriously injured or even killed.

Anne.. As a driver in the 4- Fun  Div.  IT truly frightened me when I heard of your narrow escape !!  I was in the tech area when it happend so I did not see the incident.  BUT.. I totaly agree with you statements even if It puts me out of the drivers seat , I'll still be there .  Brendan...  I really hate to see you leave the Tech. Dept. but you must retain you integrity .  Being over ruled at every issue puts you in a bad spot  I know where you are coming from.
The reason some of us pulled off the track after one lap was a protest move only, WE will take the consequenses of that move.  WE HAVE MADE A STAND and will live with it.
