I'm just as entitled to my opinion as you are to yours, and until the day I am banned from this forum I will let them be known whether you care or not. I really was not aware that you had access to Mark Dilleys email as to quote the content of it. I have said nowhere that I am going to "stand firm" and not bring my family to Sunset anymore. If I chose not to come to Sunset, It is for no other reason than it is not fun anymore. I have not bashed the track or it's owners or managers. I am truly sorry that I have upset you so much.
It is the wrong call period. If cars are under that kind of ridiculous scrutiny at the restart line, then what about the 48 car on the final restart the week before? he was very slightly ahead of the 17 car on the restart. The only reason it didn't stick further in to the corner is cause his car wasn't good on the outside. It was the same thing though at the restart line.
The fact is that it was a ridiculous call plain and simple.
I have to totally agree that it was a ridiculous call,but i think we should all give Mark and the rest of the management team the benefit of the doubt and if the rule is you get black flagged and sent to the back for jumping the restart , so be it, that's life or as monette 72 put it suck it up. Its just that i've read the rules posted on the website and cant find it anywhere. Any help finding them would be much appreciated.Thanks
Hey Jim there is one thing i can say is FACT....If baker got screwed the Way Walters, I am Sure there would not be an Email on dilleys phone by midnight!!! There a few things you can count on in life.....Death, taxes and if you run a racecar you'll be wrecked, Dq'd or fucked over by the track at some point....But to be some poor fan in the stands and HAVE to say you and your family wont be back>>>>not sure what to say to that.....Transformers 2 sucked balls, but i didnt email Micheal Bay and say i left with my family crying....And It would have cost more!!!.....but then again My bother dosent do the web site either ;D.
The whole idea of the "fix" about points and who is friends or family with who is TOTAL BS!!!! Bottom line is this is Bussiness, take a look around tell me Sunset doesnt have the best racing around?....

My Point is YES we need Fans in the stands the same way we need drivers on the track. I get it.... I get there are politics at every track. I get that certain things look "fishy" sometimes. But, I don't get how you can Make the life of the guy who has poured his heart into making such a great show such a hard time. Oh i know someone will say " hey that's his job" Or " he needs to handle these problems" Or "he gets paid good money to hear from us".....Put yourself in his shoes for just one second.
OK racing is over for the night all in all it was a good night. Now he's at home feet up relaxing maybe having a rye, and Bam...email after email about what was wrong, how you need to fix this and so on> Dilley doesn't want to piss of any one, that's why he is so successful, He cares, he gets it! But give the guy a break... I don't know I guess i am wrong on this one .....Your right silverstone, Step up and have a voice, Its your right!! I know how i feel and as they say opinions are like bellybuttons, we all got them.
Sunset Is doing a great job, Dilley is awesome at what he does, Sorry to have offended so many people.
