Just happened to notice, that aug.16th on the schedule it is not only a thunder car invitational but fan appreciation night.
That almost makes me want to skip a points night and come out. Just to see the look on the fan's faces, "Who the $#^#% is this guy" LOL Funny stuff.
Ross there is some very knowlegeable fans at Sunset, you would be very surprised. I showed up one night and a young lad asked me if I drove the #6 TC at Barrie. Surprised the heck out of me.
I signed a bunch of cards on the last Fan Appreciation night. Everyone from Sunset encouraged us to go out with the regulars. Pretty classy.
Yeah...we love out of town drivers and speaking as a fan...there are quite a few fans that are very knowledgeable of short track racing in ontario...and for those who arent spencer seems to be just a giant book of racing knowledge and he can relay to the fans who where and their racing resume....its a classy place to be thats why im there almost every saturday night 😉

You should trailer up here. The more the merrier... Besides then you get to put a face to the names right?
Not saying they arn't a classy bunch. The Sunset guys are out there putting on a show for their fans every week, they deserve the attention, they worked for it, not to have to share the stage. And when one of their own classes isnt' out there....
I'm sure the drivers there are classy enough to share the night, (already have a post to that regard before I could even hit send) but the track shouldn't put them in the position where they have to.....
Not saying you as a Barrie driver should feel bad, its to me like crashing someone's birthday party, when you have a birthday on the same date....
Well I did ask several people, and from the response I got, it was almost as if I didn't go out there they would have been offended. Like I said, pretty classy.
Spencer interviewed me on the track and I think what I said was something like "We are here to add to the already value packed and impressive show". I certainly wasn't there to steal anyone's thunder (although that #45 car was looking pretty tempting ;D). We all just wanted to have a fun night of racing. The Fan Appreciation was just a bonus, both for us and the Sunset fans.
When in someone's house, play by their rules, right?
