No Kids are not the same as back in the day but they need there sleep or the parents are miserable the next day. My daughter was exhausted by 10 pm and I couldn't image keeping her out later as it would have been a hell of a ride home. Glad we had the DVD player in the back so the kids were quit most of the way home. the 401 was nasty last night with all the lane closures. I think I heard over 100 are we close to home.
It was great that sunset has a little play area for the kids but I don't think my friend will be too happy when he sees all the sand in the back of is truck.
Don't get me wrong I had a great time at sunset and the improvements are great and a great crowd on hand.
What was with the bad call sending Jayson Brown #25 to the back yes he was involved in the accident. He was along for the ride he was punted by the 88. Nicked Name Black Flag? that means he has done this before and will do it again? They could have kept the racing running without the yellow as they both recovered.
Thank You Ashley Romano #32 for taking a picture with my daughter as she said she wants to race now. Off to the go kart track this week with her. Too bad you had car troubles tonight as my daughter was cheering for you.
First off, that is no problem at all taking a picture with your daughter was an awesome highlight to my night, seeing as I didn't do much else after the motor blew. Sorry for not being very talkative, I was distracted by the waitinggame that was my car that afternoon. It's great to know that she was cheering for me, and hopefully when you come out to Sunset again with her, my car will be in better shape and she can see me race! Feel free to come by my pit again anytime! 🙂
Second, I was so angry when that 88 spun Jay. But no, it's not the first time the 88's been spinning people to giving them a good punt across 3 lanes of raceway. Though I'm surprised now he's making the connection with other males, as far as I remember he's only enjoyed spinning the girls. (He got me a few times back in fourfun when I was still in The Tank) But I agree with Jay they did throw the caution too early since they did both recover and continue the race. Oh well, can't turn back the clock.
Bill Campbell won a very long, dragged out, caution filled mini stock feature. Dave Case won the uneventfull thunder feature, cant remember if they went flag to flag or not.  and jason Witty won a very exciting llm feature over Dario. oh, and josh nicolson won the pro challange.
I have no clue on the winners of the bike races.
Way to go for Dave Case!!!!! ;D ;D
I will be at Kawartha for the NCATS final race in September.
If theres anyway at all you can attended the Sizzler at KD on the 12th of July, I would highly suggest it.
I bealive there was about 45 Late Models there last year for the 200 lap feature... add in the LM Heats.... TC,MS & Legends. It is WELL worth the time & money.
I gotta agree with the improvements, as far as the paving. I saw people who were using wheelchairs, walkers or even baby strollers that found it easier to move it around. Add in the fact that it keeps things nice, clean and dust-free - good deal!
