I had respect for Sr, But I hafta back the Prince on this one.
I've seen tooooo much to think that Mr E Sr. was innocent. There was no doupt, the man had talent. But he had a temper too. If he was alive to day I dont think Jr. would be in the state he is in today. And he and Rusty would have a lot to talk about their sons.

I was never a sr fan because of his attitude but if I ever owned a cup team he would have been my driver at any cost. Pure racing ability and talent. It obviously didn't make it thru the gene pools. I am sure at this point Mr. Hendrick is kicking himself for making the worst trade ever. Kyle will not make you a 10th of the souviner money but he will win a championship long before jr even thinks about it. If jr ever starts thinking again. I know it has to be tough on jr going to daytona in feb. but sooner or later grow up. Kyle has more driving ability then most I see out there right now. If he could only become more of a spokeperson and less of a spoiled brat. Saying all that I would rather see him speak his mind(when he gets better at it)like smoke and not become another whitewash nascar driver.

Here's my opinion, Hendrick has 2 championship drivers already, with the addition of JR, he also has the golden goose of merchandise and fan base.  So to sum it up, he has the two 'wonder boys', the golden goose, and the classy veteran.  Seems like a well thought out team to me.  No doubt he'll be smiling all the way to the bank.  If he were to add Stewart to the mix, his team would have the 4 most popular drivers in the series.  Three out of four is pretty good for the pocket book.

I had high hopes for JR when he first started out, but he's delivered nothing IMO.

P.S, I don't own a Hendrick hat, and can pretty well say I never will!!  Rain shortened races are bogus, a total rip off!  Congrats to Kenseth, he raced hard all day, and was in the right place, at the right time.  Just like many before him, and many more to come.

petty fan he pretty much has stewart and newman already. jim your i will have to disagree with you on dale sr being the dirtest driver, hard nosed yeah and pls give one example where nascar gave him a win, just one with factual proof.
