So here's my take, if Sr. had made that move in daytona everyone would have said good job, that was the way it was then. Im not a SR. fan, i do root for JR. We are constantly whinning how we hate this new brand of racing nascar deals us but when stuff happens that reminds us of the old days we rip the driver. Cars get turned all the time it happens, Vickers should not have thrown that block at that point without thinking he may get bumped, and i guarantee 10 years or less ago this would be a non issue, if he had done it with any of the old school drivers he would have got bumped. I even bet with all that DW had to say, if it was him he'd have bumped him. Yep JR. went braindead in the pits no question, is it pressure? Maybe but everyone of those guys is under pressure, i would argue many more than JR. This seems as a way for the drivers to heap some crap on JR. Go ahead i don't see it affecting his popularity. I also believe JR.s problems are not all his own, he has a crewchief/crew who are not getting the job done, the sooner Tony is moved to another position the better. It's time someone stepped up and carried nascar back into popularity and i believe that means getting back to racing as it was before the death of SR. even if he wasn't my favorite he made it exciting every week!
Does anybody else remember when dei swaped crew chiefs a couple years ago between waltrip and jr and jr's finishes got worse?? I believe jr requested to have his cousin back. Nuff said!!

I think he still had Tony Sr as his crew chief then. I think Sr kicked him in the A$$ more than Tony Jr. The dynamic between the two Jrs is more of a buddy or brother thing. Tony Sr had more control of him IMO.
crewman the bump from the block was not what wrecked the field, it was the second contact when jr came back up i said I DALE JR B***H, you cant block me,then turned vickers into the field. this guy reminds me of rick james.(super freak singer)
Yes Sr' was still his chief then and yes he was better for Jr. on the box. I know it was the second bump, #1 you have to get back above the yellow line #2 he was there because of the block #3 he was so slow the bump was coming again either way he shouldn't have been down there the block slowed him up and the second bump was just a matter of progression, should a racer have to slow up and lose all that momentum at Daytona because of dumb manouver? I think not, and again lets get back to real racing not this stuff we've been seeing for a while now.
