Trailing arm was the culprit and will do exactly what you see.
Rob Clarke had this happen at Delaware demolished car a while back.
Cole Powell @ the SnowBall this year in practice same thing not a total and hit the track entry gate. Both at speed same as Montoya. A rear end lock up can do the same thing.

I also stand corrected on another point. It was my mistake thinking that an Indy 500 champ, CART Champ, 7 time Grand Prix (including Monaco) winner wasn't just a shnook who got lucky that he wasn't driving "real" race cars when he was doing all his winning.
