Dale Jr is an ok driver but he needs to find harmony again. Brad Kesolowski would not be the answer in the #88 car. I do know that changes HAD to be made and that's unfortunate for Eury, but maybe this will be for the best. Dale Jr is not the best nor will he ever be the best, but he is much better then he has been performing. I know I will be given the electric chair by Jr nation for saying this, but oh well. There are more then a handful of drivers with more talent then him for sure. Dale Jr belongs in the cup series don't get me wrong, he's just not the best everyone thinks he is and that is why the media is making such a big deal about his performance. He is the most popular driver (that doesn't mean he is the best). Maybe people should lay off him a little for his performance....JMO
As of a proud member of Jr Nation, I am not throwing you under a bus as you're correct. Even as a fan, I do realize that we have no proof in stating he is the best driver - most popular, definately; I can provide with a book saying that. Till he proves it to me and to the others of the world, I will stand by those words even if members with Jr Nation kill one of their own (me). And as far as laying off Jr. with the media, that would probably help. Maybe a lot of this is pressure to prerform; maybe he's got too much riding on his shoulders. Who knows! But you got some good points and I applaud you.
I think JR nation is because of one thing and I think we debated this on here before. I don't listen to the Scanners as Scott pointed out but it seems his cars are always junk from what I hear him saying on his radio when they put him on TV and you get to hear it. What I meant about some drivers say nothing they say what is needed and drive.
Maybe it is the new cars but he has had as much as the next guy with these new cars and Hendricks doesn't put together junk. Look at the other teams that use Hendricks stuff they seem to be doing good and being up at the front.
Never really been a huge fan of Jr's. I was hoping he would do more in a Hendrick ride but it just not happening so far.
the jr nation exist because of grief, when sr was killed a large % of his fan based migrated to his son, there is nothing wrong with that better this than lose them as fans to the sport
Agreed, though it also makes others whom are fans look bad due to the how they're presented. But whatever - there's nothing you can do about what others things of you.
I have to say though that the first race out they did pretty good. It's a good start, in comparision to Charlotte the week b4.
It could very well be the lack of information that Jr provides his team. I saw it at Dover again. They were not running too badly, then they made a pit stop and backed up. They were almost lapped till a timely caution helped them back into the race. Who knows at this point. We will be better to analyze the situation after a few more weeks with Lance up on the pit box. But this has turned into a pretty good topic.
