Yikes!
I have about 175 hours in Comanche's (P30's, P39 C/R's) ..of all the twins Piper built, this one was "the" rocketship. Many owners hotrodded them with upgraded engines and props. I remember my training like it was yesterday, on the turbo models watch the amount of boost at lower altitudes, else you melt the pistons since they didn't have pop-off valves or automatic wastegates... easy to ruin 15 grand worth of engine in a real hurry...
Owners swear by them and love the platform. The one drawback was the lack of certified icing systems if not ordered from the factory... thanks for posting this Marv!!
