Last night the Southern Ontario Lawn Tractor Racing Association (SOLTRA) put on their show using part of the infield at Sauble in front of the start/finish line and basically destroyed that part of the grass. Sauble always had one of the nicest infields of any track I have been to but no more!
BTW...the announcer for SOLTRA doubles as the starter and calls the races as he is flagging them. Quite a performer.
Sauble's crowd was good but the show still needs to be tightened up considering none of the Sauble regular classes and the visiting J-Car series had more than 12 cars... did not get out of there until almost 11:45 pm. Thankfully the cottage is only a 10 minute drive.

The show would have been a lot tighter if not for the lawn mowers. They took forever. I'd say the best race of the night was the mini truck feature. Good hard clean racing.
