i dont mind the sunday afternoon show for out of town cars, i had planned on going but a almost 4 hour haul and iffy weather was my main reason for not going. Also they need to post payout info on these thunder races as well as the rumour i heard was $600 to win but with only 6 cars showing does JP still payout the full amount which i heard he didnt at the chase race?
did not hear if purse for thunders was lowered but has happened in past. i know a lot of drivers who do not show up because of this. in my opinion if you advertise 600. to win then that should be what you get! and this does not happen just at peterborough. on a positive note, rest of fields where decent, maybe sunday shows could work at pete. had one person say that it was a good show, i said other than no crowd it was pretty good, his answer was, well he does not get a crowd on saturdays either,lol.
I wonder if saturday afternoons might work? Start at say 1.......try and have it wrapped up at 4 or so..........maybe not...........gotta say i still like my racin on saturday nights. Some of the sunday shows I've been to this year, on my way home I've thought, "sheesh, i don't envy those guys tonight, they've gotta load up, get home, unload all their crap, get something to eat, then get to bed and work tomorrow".....that blows......the ONE sunday show we ran this year, the oss race at sunset, I didn't make it to work monday.......that can only happen so many times....... ;D
lol come on kelly i closed the speedway last night chillin with the guys after and still had to drive an hour and a half home. Im still at work. hahahaha

and the other track that doesnt pay is also begging for cars Hmmmm Go Figure...........nowadays there has to be some kind of guarantee that there will be enough pay to at least cover the Fuel Bill to finnish in top 5in TC and Fuel and a tire in LLM we now see the tracks that are putting some money at the bottom of the payouts are getting the cars and that in turn gets the fans and that gets the promoter a return on their investment
