my buddy has a eco-cavalier and is turning it into a ministock but has hit a snag. the trans has a 7.9-1 second and a 5.2 3rd gear. turns out this is the only trans available for this car. it means he will have to rev about 7900 in second or 5200 in 3rd. since the chip is 6400, that means he can just use 3rd and i don't think topping out at 5200 is gonna be enough.
any ideas?

Hook up with somebody that tunes the computers in the car and they can eliminate the rev limiter with the click of a mouse. Or put an automatic in it, hook up with the same computer tuner, and have him change the shift points so the car shifts automatically at the point that you want it to.
