ZF Race Reporter Videos Features Ron Fellows Lap Around CTMP,

Porsche Steering Wheel Technology, Rain Tire Engineering

BOMANVILLE, ONTARIO, Canada (July 10, 2016) - ZF Motorsport today launched its next series of three North American ZF Race Reporter videos, in conjunction with this weekend's IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP).

Canadian Ron Fellows is a sports car legend and part owner of CTMP. In the first video, ZF Race Reporter John Hindhaugh chauffeurs Fellows in a Corvette around the 2.459-mile circuit, while talking to him about his racing career. To view this video, click this link.

Porsche is known for its high tech race cars. However, what most people don't know about its high tech steering wheel and how the wheel's buttons help the driver control more of the race car than simply turning the car right and left. In the second video, Hindhaugh talks to Leh Keen, driver of the No. 22 WeatherTech Porsche, about how the steering wheel technology works. To view this video, click this link.

The third video features Carol Brink, of Monterey, California, who was selected to be this weekend's ZF Fan Reporter. After submitting a question to the ZF.com website, she won the opportunity to come to CTMP to interview Ken Payne, motorsports technical director for Michelin North America. She interviewed Payne about how Michelin engineers its rain tires to help racers drive fast in the wet. To view this video, click this link.

ZF Motorsports will produce the video series at two more IMSA races this season: Circuit of the Americas and Road Atlanta. This year, ZF Motorsports has produced eight Race Reporter videos in conjunction with the WeatherTech Championship. More than 1.3 million fans have viewed those videos through Facebook and YouTube.

ZF in North America

ZF has been active in the North American market for almost 40 years. The technology company currently has 50 locations in this region - 34 of which are in
the U.S., 12 in Mexico, and four in Canada - and manufactures products for the automotive industry and other sectors. The number of ZF employees in the region of North America was 30,800 at the end of 2015; and roughly 12,600 of them work for ZF in the U.S. In 2014, the company generated total sales of € 18.4 billion, with almost one-fifth of that sales (€ 3.7 billion) coming from North America (ZF Friedrichshafen AG 2014 consolidated group sales without the ZF TRW Division). After the acquisition of TRW Automotive, the sales shares from North America will be even higher in 2016.
