Shane was in a bad crash qualifying yesterday at terre haute his car bicycled then bounced and launched head first into the wall with his non wing car. He is currently in a medically induced coma and listed as serious but stable condition.

what a waste of talent, i can't imagine throwing your career down the tubes for POT! really could have went somewhere i think! hope he comes out of this ok!

^ Shane had moved on from those issues and had been racing full time in the various USAC series...and doing pretty well I might add. This crash is a real shame.
