RYAN LITT: BACK TO DAIRYLAND

by Tommy Goudge (September 10, 2010) - Ryan Litt and the #07L BS&B Radiator/OTC Tools Sprint Car team spent Labour Day weekend in Michigan. This weekend they're headed even further West of their London, Ontario base - to Wisconsin.

Saturday's event at Dells Raceway Park will be the final race in the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series championship chase. Ryan is currently fourth in the standings, and has a shot at catching Jimmy McCune in third. The race will be the first for Ryan at the 1/3 mile located in Wisconsin Dells.

Last weekend featured a Friday/Saturday doubleheader for Ryan and the team with the Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints series at Dixie Motor Speedway and Berlin Raceway. Ryan went into the Dixie race looking to sweep the season there, having won two features at the high-banked 4/10 mile already this year.

"We had a pretty good weekend overall", says Ryan. "At Dixie we had a fast car all day - qualified 1st and rolled a 10 invert, which ended up hurting us in the end."

Ryan was not able to move up through the field at Dixie and settled for a top five.

"The weather was cool and windy so we struggled in traffic and it was really difficult to pass," says Ryan. "We only came up to 5th in the main and we passed the most cars, so it was just one of those races where most of the drivers really couldn't move anywhere."

Berlin is one of Ryan's favourite tracks, and a place where he's claimed two feature wins in the past.

"At Berlin we had another fast car all day," says Ryan. "We qualified 2nd and started 5th.

Ryan moved from fifth to second at Berlin, but wasn't able to catch fellow Canadian Mike Ling, who got the feature win.

"Just missed the setup a little bit and had the car a bit too loose," says Ryan. "(Loose) is bad at Berlin because you're constantly turning. We ran a strong 2nd but couldn't put up a serious challenge for 1st."

The Must See Racing series added another race to their schedule to end the season, but it is a non-points invitational. The Xtreme Sprint Cars will join the ISMA Supermodified tour and USAC Regional Midget series at Berlin Raceway on Saturday, September 25. Ryan and the BS&B team will compete in the Sprint Car portion of the event, and Ryan is looking for a ride in the Supermodified event as well.
