I know, not a US series but they are being shown on Speed TV. The DTM aka German Touring Cars ,features one of our native sons, Bruno Spengler. He won the latest round that was on tv Jan 2,08. The Aussie series is absolutely some of the best sedan road racing you can watch on tv. It features the classic GM VRS Ford battle. The Holden Commodore is the Aussie GM version of the Impala and the Ford Falcon is a cross between a late 90's Mustang and the Taurus. V8, 6 speed RWD all on street and road course race tracks. There is only a few rounds left so catch one if you can.
ya i've been watching it when i see it it's pretty good...too bad they didn't do an oval or two.
do you notice the absence of all of the decals that north american stock cars have pasted all over their front fenders? i guess there are less series sponsors or in europe they aren't into stickers...i dunno...the cars look alot more street i imagine they aren't tube chassis cars it'd be neat if they were painted up a little more flashy so it's easier to see who is who but that's just me.
it's a good racing fix to get you through the winter for sure...
Yes It is a good series I catch it every once in a while for the last couple years.
