Mooresville, NC 12/4/14- CARS Tour officials are proud to announce a date change for the season finale event at Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway originally set for October 11th to Sunday November 1, 2015. The Sunday afternoon event will crown the first ever champions for both the Late Model Stock Car Tour and Super Late Model Tour.

The date change comes upon a working partnership developed with the Championship Racing Association (CRA) powered by JEGS to stay idle during the Winchester 400 weekend for super late model teams at Winchester (IN) Speedway. As part of the adjustment the top two highest in CARS Super Late Model Tour championship points standings just prior to the Winchester 400 event will each receive guaranteed starting positions, one (1) set of practice tires, and a free entry fee to the 44th running of the Winchester 400 on October 11, 2015.

In return the top two championship finishers in the final ARCA/CRA Super Series season ending points standings will each receive guaranteed starting positions, one (1) set of practice tires, and a free entry fee to the CARS Tour season finale event at the famed Hickory Motor Speedway on November 1, 2015.

“We as a sanctioning body are all about working together with people as best as we possibly can. Nothing but good for the teams, fans, and series can come out of it by doing so, obviously we have two type of race cars we have to focus on so we are limited on what we can do,” explained Director of Operations for the tour Chris Ragle. “Luckily we were able to make some adjustments with this date, and then even go above and beyond and offer some incentives for both CARS Tour and ARCA/CRA Super Series super late model teams to compete in these two events. RJ Scott and Glenn Luckett are both good guys to work with in the sport and look at them as allies in the world of short track racing.”
