awesome pictures Dan!  probably was safer being a photographer in the stands  :P...as that one guy almost got crushed by that flying tire...  😮  that was scary! 

sheesh, after seeing the video in another thread... he sure was fortunate. It wasn't pretty getting shots from the pit area, I was getting pelted steady. lol

Thanks Dan - here are some more shots..

(3-Wide - for what it's worth, i feel safer in the infield than
i do in any stands outside of the track.  If you noticed,
the wheel bounced WAY higher than the catch fence, and
in this case just happened to return inwards...usually they
keep going outwards.. either way, we all do take chances..)

and yea you do bring up a good point about being in the infield...... most things will end up going outwards, I guess you just always gotta be on guard...but I suppose in this persons case, they just got distracted threw there lens and didn't pay attention to what was happening around them....I'm sure that happens to all photographes at times...but thats part of it to get thoese great shots!!
