3-wide - I'm sure you would enjoy the late model
events. There are the Ontario Dirt Late Models as
well as the BRP CanAm Late Models (check out
Merrittville, Ohsweken, and Humberstone).
As an OSCAAR fan, you should like them.
The Sprints are something else - very fast, and
if you're not used to watching dirt (it really is
different to follow from asphalt), take a bit of
getting used to. The World of Outlaws are probably
the fastest dirt cars on the planet (some folks
in Australia may argue with that statement).
As for travelling, i usually do take the qew (407 is a bit
north for me). The usual 30 min drive from the 427 to the 403
turnoff is typically 1 hour plus, and this is at 3pm or so.
Add another 30min if its a long weekend.
(takes me about 2 hours to get there, just over 1 hour to get
home).
Here is a BRP LM, and a lineup of the Ont Dirt LM.

good to hear, yea only reason I haven't gone on a friday was mainly beacuse the traffic is already bad during the week on the 401( as I seen going to the WoO LM) and 407 is kinda pricy...but I'v used it before...and I will again for this... so I figured it was prolly...way worse on a friday...and with gas and such was going to cost a ton.
but I think a 5 class show..including Sprints & LM's is well worth the time & money....now I just got to hope it don't rain that day as well...lol
so do the ODL & BRP LM's run in the same class? like that Friday is it both combined?
sorry I'm sounding like a complete Dirt "noob" here..but as I'v said I'v not attended many dirt races...just based on the fact theres so many paved tracks closer to me.
the ODLM late models are super late models running UMP specs which are very close to the WOO late models (in fact some ran at the WOO show at Oshweken). The BRP late models are usually known as Super Stocks or 360 late models at their home tracks, such as McKean, Little Valley, Woodhull, Blackrock, Gennesee, etc. They have a camaro front clip with a more restricted engine with a 2 bbl. carb. Sort of what a sportsman is to a modified. Bodies are usually similar with the wide nose that incorporates part of the front fenders. I don't think the "super stocks" are allowed a quick change rear end also. Have seen both run a few times this year and on a slick track, their times are not all that different. Hoping some of the yanks I've seen in the states this year make the trip to Merrittville on the Saturday of the holiday weekend but there is a Super Late Model race at Woodhull the same night. Sunday of the holiday weekend at Humberstone in Pt Colborne might have the better field of cars due to less of a conflict and is part of their big All Canadian weekend.
I think Derek's shot of Rich Michael's #17 BRP car shows that a 2 bbl car can really get some big time bite under the right circumstances.
The Friday night show at the end of August is probably the best "bang for your buck" show left at Ohsweken this season...The week before when the Mod-Lites are there will be good too...
Granted I'm biased, but I have really enjoyed our regular Friday night shows with the sprints, thunder stocks, minis, and fun stocks...the racing has been awesome all season, and even the fun stocks are starting to be pretty entertaining...
With the exception of opening week, every weekly sprint show has had a lead change during the last 5 laps...I knew the racing would be good in the new sprint division, but it has been better than I expected actually...and we are seeing it bring new drivers into the division even as the year goes by and heading into next season...
3-wide - i agree with Tommy, that the Aug 29 show will be
worth seeing. I expect to miss the Kawartha LLM 100 for it.
