Jason Meyers Wins Night 1 at Ohsweken barely over Donny Schatz. Meyers made an INCIDBLE move on the last lap splitting/zig zaging 2 laps cars on the front stretch to hold the lead...... you just had to witness this to fully appreciate how amazing it was, a slight inch either way and it wounda been ugly.
40 Sprints in the pits.... a few got torn up in a wild wreck in the B-Main so I suppose the # could be a little lower for tomorrow.
27 Thunders took to the track running a hectic feature that seen a ton of 3-4 wide racing Billy Hogue would take the win.
HUGE crowd on hand to, I mean the place was pretty much packed..... the whole parking lot was full, and it was great to see a cop at the 4-way stop & at the lights as that helped traffic flow a ton.
a bit of a hiccup with the track....as it was all dried out and had 0 grip, the qualifying times were about 2 seconds off the track record, so there was about an hour delay to the start of the show as they re-worked the track...but kudos to Ohsweken track crew as they got it right it made a world of difference once racing started.
Good racing...that move was...man...incredible doesn't describe it...I hope it is on youtube somewhere....eventually.
will they be running tonight?
good chunk of rain in the forecast.....
Radar is not matching the forecast right now...there is a system moving through but nothing behind it. I guess we will just wait and see...
Rain date is tomorrow.
