Mark Dixon lives fairly close to Varney, and raced many years against Rick Woolner in the all-pro mods.I am guessing it was just his way of showing respect to a departed racer, last nite being the Rick Woolner memorial.
It was pretty freaky watching him sideways in the top groove, sparks and crap flying everywhere.I think the regular mods were actually a bit intimidated, thinking he was going to lose it and slide down the track lap after lap.It certainly convinced me that I gotta get to a dirt track and watch some of this high horsepower stuff!

Mike32 reguarding the 10 -12 Chatham area drivers that did not show
for the Saturday show. These 12 cars raced at South Buxton Saturday night. As for Oakshade drivers from what I saw from the results the only Chatham area driver that does a regular trip there is Chris Ross.Out of the 12 cars that raced Saturday 4 of those cars made the trip to Humberstone (Dale Glassford,Andrew Reaume,Joe Field,Jim Jones ).As for the ODLM race on Aug 29th it would not surprise me if there is a good field there as the 29th is a Friday and Buxton runs on Saturdays. As for Oshweken running Late Models the show on the 29th I think will tell the tail a good show with good turnout and it would not surprise me if Oshweken does more shows next year. That is just my opinion as I think Dirt Late Model racing is becoming very popular in Ontario.

Maybe so, but until South Buxton and ODLM start getting along, the growth of the division is going to be stunted...

agreed Tommy re the co-operation as originally I thought Buxton  gave the LMs the night off in deference to the SOS being the show that night. I thought, my lord they are co-operating after all.  And re my JMO re Pratt & Bowman. Did Dave still have video running as I'm sure Bowman went to Pratt's car first while Rob was still strapped in . Then Rob hopped out. Mike is about 18" taller than Rob so it wouldn't have been much of a fight if something developed. I figure it takes two to tangle but we're in the dog days of summer and both have had sub par seasons compared to last year.  I thought Friesen's insult about Pratt in the victory interview was a little classless (and I'm a fan of James').
My comment had nothing to do with nationality but the Genessee and Ransomville drivers are just not supporting the Lucas series plain and simple.

I would like to see if Dave still had that tape running also between Pratt and Bowman. The story I am getting is the same one as you mike 32.
