Szoke Is One Step Closer To Ninth Championship
Brantford racer Jordan Szoke’s continued his qualifying dominance at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Friday and will start both of this weekend’s Mopar Pro Superbike races from the pole position. The eight time champion, aboard his BMW Motorrad S1000RR pole setting time was 1:21.533, edging Uxbridge rider Alex Welsh by 0.452 seconds. Rising star Jodi Christie of Keene, ON will start third.
The Superbike Doubleheader Weekend continues on Saturday with practice sessions in the morning for all six classes competing. The first races of the weekend begin in the afternoon, with the Harley-Davidson XR1200 Cup up first followed by the Hindle Exhaust Pro Sport Bike, Bazzaz/Inside Motorcycles Amateur Sport Bike, Honda CBR250R Series, Mopar Pro Superbike Feature Race and the Magneti Marelli Amateur Superbike to wrap up the full day of two-wheel racing.
