I also heard rumor about the oval but that it was getting ripped up and redone. I saw Glen Butt, the promoter, at Kawartha on the weekend so thought I'd get a response from him. He said he is planning a program for 2013 but when I asked him about the reconfiguration, he just smiled and said he is not privy to what the owners are planning to spend their money on. As far as dirt goes, that was the surface when it openned. The USAC sprint cars ripped the track apart as there was too much gravel n the dirt. They did an investigation to see if it was feasible to truck in dirt that was of a better makeup. It wasn't so they paved it. Also heartd at KD that some equipment was staged at the oval. Who knows why they are there and I can't even confirm that it is fact. In the end I would love them to build a new oval somewhat like Concord Motor Speedway in NC.

Well Fellows does have backing and plans from what I have read and is trying to get a truck or nationwide race for the road course so who knows what plans they have for the oval. With the CMS seemingly stalled maybe they will try to get their market before they build anything.
