Well this coming from a fan, here's my take. Am I upset that the night was cancelled ABSOLUTELY as I only found out on my way in from Toronto when my mom called to tell me the night was cancelled. I've paid for my season pass and now have 2 nights already cancelled. I'm not sure where the "car counts" being an issue was brought up since the only division fighting for cars to stay in it is the LLM's. I am disappointed in finding out that the night was cancelled so early as when the last night was cancelled I asked the office if there was anyway to send an email to the season pass holders in advance so that we don't drive hours to an event that isn't going to happen and they said that was a good idea. Well I didn't get any email, so I guess they missed that part too. Of all nights to cancel besides the season finale the fan appreciation night is a huge hit, but it sounds like from previous posts the weather is very unstable right now and after watching the news (yep the news I said since I'm not at the track watching racing) it looks pretty nasty all across southern ontario. So they sure better make up for it next week and if they do reschedule some nights give the public a good bit of notice so we can decide if we want to attend or not. I agree the season is too short but if they started sooner would there not be a greater chance of bad weather cancelling a night in which case the season would be just as it is now? This is the first year that the Friday night racing has taken a hit, normally its been the Saturday shows getting cancelled more. Time to invest in a dome over the track I say.
It rained in Peterborough, but did it rain in Fraserville? A legitimate question. I only live 7 minutes south of the track and haven't seen a drop yet and it's 9:30. I have a better idea that may help out Kawartha and the fans. Watch the 5-day forecast on Monday and if they are calling for any small chance of rain on Friday cancel it on Monday. With that much notice we can all find something better to do. Still PO'd. I like the email idea and they should have made ( MAYBE THEY DID ) some effort to call the racers. They had time. Saw a few cars going up Hwy 28 late this afternoon. If the weather was looking a little worse I could blame them for not calling ahead but with such a small chance of rain I can't blame them for not calling ahead this time. JUST IN. Autumn Colours is being called off due to cold weather. LOL
