How long is it gonna take before Kawartha does something about the opening in the backstretch wall?? Three weeks this year alone we have had cars barely miss hitting the opening head on. Wayne Isaacs in the Oscaar race opening night, Wallace and Fernandez last week, and Mayhew and Strawn this week in the thunder feature. Not sure what the track could do to resolve this, but anything has to be better than a hole in the wall at the fastest part of the track. It would be a shame to see the nicest track in Ontario get shut down over a law suit because somebody got seriously hurt or killed. Call me crazy, but i think something needs to be done...
you are so right, something needs done about that opening. problem is promoters only want your money and until someone is badly hurt or killed nothing will happen. most promoters are racers or former racers and they still have the beleif that nothing will happen,but when it does it will be to late. just hope i am not there to witness an accident like that which could be avoided.
