The sky looked threatening most of the night but Grand Bend Speedway got the entire schedule of racing in before the rain came. The Junior Late Models and the Mini Trucks were off this week. The Hurricane Midgets brought their travelling series to the Bend and the racing was competitive in all the sprint divisions

Jr B Micro Sprints
1st   #82, Johnny Goulding; 2nd  #18, Cody Kyle; 3rd   #22, Jordan Zilke. Hi-lite of the night was Connor James, driving a micro sprint for the first time, winning his heat race and driving from scatch to 4th before contact with # 88 sent both to the back with 5 laps to go. Connor still finished 10th out of a field 15 karts. Congrats Connor on a successful entry into the Micro Sprints.

Jr A Micro Sprint
1st  #14, Calvin Verheyen; 2nd  # 1, Trevor Collver; 3rd  #25, Tyler Finley. Very competitive field tonight with the 11 top runners consistently running 2 and 3 wide and swapping positions for the entire race.

9hp Mini Sprint

#45  2nd Jonah Macho 2nd   #66 Scott Schloendorf

Competitive division of 11 karts with lots of lead changing. Tough division to run in with the bump draft style of racing. Hi-lite was Michelle Korcinas’ 2 feature wins and a heat win after negotiating her way through the field from the back.

4 Cyl Mini Stock
1st  #07, Steve Smith; 2nd #27, Scott Freel; 3rd  #32, Braden Bosman. Steve Smith won his heat and feature to continue his run as the class of the field having now won every feature in this small class of cars this year.

Hurricane Midget Club
1st #67, Cale Bailey; 2nd # 47, Brent McLean; 3rd # 4, Robert Summers. Very strong run by Cale Bailey to run unchallenged once he made his way to the front.
