not sure on other divisions, but limited lates are now able to run roller rockers (do not really need them), and dropping 50 pounds of cars with built motor, puts us in line with other tracks. other than that, nothing new.

Heard Mini-stock dropped the lb per CC rule and went with a base weight depending on engine design.  Ie. 16valve SOHC weighs 2400 etc etc.

they are also allowing Variable Valve Timing for all cars.  This is a MAJOR change and I think will ruin the class.  As soon as somebody brings our a 97-01 Prelude with a 220HP H22 they will run away with the class and the track will be doing something to "even out the field" again.

Apparently this was changed because they wanted to give the field something to keep up with the Ecotec's in the Cavaliers/Sunfires.

A smarter move would have been to add 100 lbs to the Cav's/sunfires with ecotecs.

they did say weight would be added after you win feature race, and if someone was running away better than rest of the field they would add what ever weight needed to even things out.
