Gotcha, I had found it hard to believe that they would stage a race all the way down there lol
However its cool that guys took there CASCAR's down there to run.

I guess a better question for me to ask now though is does anybody around here have any CASCAR results pre 2001?
Trying to dig some up for Racing-Reference.info  We got all the Canadian Tire series results and all the old Super Series results but only dating back to 2001.

Also I have always been VERY curious to see old results and schedules myself, being the history buff I am, google only gets you so far 😉

He is currently in johanessburg working for the look company at the world cup so there may be some delay in his response.

I will see what I have as we started the site in 1999. Might have some things on cd or my HD.

Peter Cadiou, who has been with the series as its scorer from the beginning has all this information.  He still works with the NASCAR series as its pace car driver and you can get a hold of him this weekend at Mosport. 

Also, to my understanding these races were CASCAR sanctioned and counted towards a CASCAR speedweeks championship.  The full CASCAR staff organized these events and all cars were CASCAR's.
