hey midamerica,

i would say that nascar policy of shutting the pits down at 9 pm or so would certainly be a good idea for the IRL - it hurts if the car needs work but certainly gives your crew a break

Hey Fourbarrel. They do shut down the pits in the IRL, and then they fill the Garage area with Security Guys that all think they are Super Cop. The trick is when they are shutting down you just close your Garage Area door, hide for an hour then start working- very quietly !!
And dont think that we were the only ones in the Garage that night, Both Larry Curry and Tony Stewart stayed in there till at least 1:AM !!

Both Rick and I have seen some pretty shady deals in our time where car owners would rent you an IRL car knowing it would crash, blowup, or just not make the show.
Hey Rick... Can you say McCormick !!! That wasn't fair or was it !!

LOL  Are you saying Dennis and Felicia may not have always been on the up and up ? Say it aint so .

As for your rental deal it seems very reasonable to me and much better then say back in the day when you would give Dick Simon a pile of money and he would let you know when it was all gone .

Thanks Pinecrest and yes you are right about Dick. He always got huge deals through Drivers but a soon as the cash tree had lost ifts leaves... the harvest was over.
