This should get snapped up fast, considering the road course event pays 3100 to win.

Based on the carnage at Cayuga, one would be a fool not to take the package including the damage deposit.

damage is pretty minimal at mosport normally unless your driver goes off in 2,4,8 or maybe the inside of 10, oh and outside of 1 unless it snaps back and you hit the inside of 1.......and i guess the outside of 3 has claimed a few as well......better take that damage deposit afterall..........

Just so you guys understand, the Damage Clause is not an option. It is money we hold in escrow until the race is over. If there is damage the repaitr costs come out of this fund.
You were right on when you say the damage is minor, if any, on the road courses.
In our past 15 Road Course races, we have had only big wreck once and that was in turn 2 caused by Traffic and driving in to hard in the wrong lane- the outside lane.
Who says stacked tires are softer then gaurd rails or walls.
The damage was mostly bent bars, body, rad, and A frames. At least the clip was not bent !!

Mid since you are the Bill Seifert of Canada (I hope you get that reference) I do wonder how some of that rent-a-racer stuff works . If an engine grenades is the leasee responsible ? How many if any cars have you lost (write offs)  if not maybe wrote off what percentage of leasees never see a dime of their damage deposit back ? What is the average damage deduction after a race ? How many rentals have been damage free after a race ? If Mark Dilley comes up and lays a big tire donut on the door of the rental is that like - $250 for paint and body work ? I am not looking for exact numbers just approximately .
