Okay- I can say it now as I just received the press release from Gibbons Motorsports.
Peter Gibbons is 100 % done with the Nascar deal after Kawartha.
And I can also give you some tips as I have received the okay from some drivers that are also announcing their done at Kawartha.
From this list you can say 6 to 8 are done for sure, and more.
Peter Gibbons
Don Thomson
Andrew Ranger
Dave Witlock
Mark Dilley
Ron Beachaump
DJ Kennington
Jim Lapcievich
Jeff Lapcievich
Dave Connelly
The announcements will follow, some prior to Kawartha as with guys like Gibbons, and others at Kawartha. Based on the fact that NCTS has 20 full time Teams the number will drop to 10 Teams left. This is a major set back in Canadian Racing and will never happen again, as the Series that was supposed to set the country on fire, has lit up about as much light as a match stick.
With maybe 10 full time cars left, this series will be lucky to take the green in 2009 and should be a warning to everyone that was expecting this thing to take off.
Instead of making this series a shinning star, which it was when it was under the control of Cascar- it has cost a bunch of racers allot of money and time waisted, thanks to the cash grabbing fools of the south- NASCAR.
Man I hated writing this- but it's only fare that everyone gets fare warning.
quick nascar math-nascar income min 2.1 million plus -prize money paid out to drivers to date $611000. somebody in florida has a new boat called sunday canadan money i think.
Mark and Dave both have one more year on there contracts with there sponsor.

OK so how is this to be true if Dave and Mark have one year left on their contracts? If they retire is it like in hockey the contracts end or do they drive somewhere else.
Well you can see DJ is doing stuff in NASCAR Nationwide and Ranger will most likely have something going in the NASCAR Elite leagues, As for the rest I'm not sure where or what they would want to do or go.
Being a bit harsh on NASCAR for this. It seems obvious to me that sponsorship is the issue here. I don't know a series out there that you can use prize money from exclusively to run. Please name one..
We are in a depression folks (yes depression not recession). Its only logical that motorsport will financially fail in a time when even the worlds largest financial institutions are in trouble
