When everthing is said in done in the West after the Edmonton Grand Prix, the NASCAR CTS Teams will be loading up very quickly, running the haulers very fast in order to make the next weekend race event at Montreal, some 3000 miles away, where they will run with the NASCAR Busch Series.
The event is noted as NASCAR's biggest Canadian event of the year and many teams plan on showing their stuff in front of the Busch Teams from the South, which should go well for everyone as planed.

Are we going to be there is a big question. We have been talking with several Busch Teams that are interested in renting cars for the CTS race which will allow their Drivers more seat time around the very tricky Road Course of Montreal, but to date, the request to rent on what they think the cost should be, is totally out of the question on what they are willing to pay.

Just for those that don't know- the cost to race this event is all the same, regardless if you are a Busch Team or a CTS Team. The ontrack time for the CTS will total less the 3 hours v rsus the Busch cars at 6 hours.
The Busch Teams are renting cars for anywhere's between $50,000 to $70,000, and when I told them $25,000 they were shocked that it would cost that much to rent a CTS car.
I explained... and broke it down for them... and in every case they agreed, in fact they told me the cost to operate the Busch deal was actually less then the cost to run the CTS Deal.
I also pointed out that the win for a Busch deal was going to pay somewhere around $90,000.00US, and to win the CTS race would pay around $2700.00 plus contingency proceeds of another $5,000.00 tops, and that would be paid out in Canadian money.
The reply from all of them- How the heck can you guys afford to race up there ??? Answer- We cant !!

Regardless, there will be several teams that will make the event, and the field will be at least 20 cars for the CTS race, I am guessing, but more then likely will fill the field for a 20 car start.
The Busch Cars are expected to be at least 50 cars.

Who's going- I would assume the top ten in points, from there I have no idea.
Do you know ?? Who is your picks for the top three... My picks for the CTS are #27, #02, #84.
These guys are the Best of the Best  in the CTS and deserve the right to finish up front.

I think he's running the full schedule.  But I haven't spoken to him since the end of April, so maybe his plans have changed.

That is what Scotty told me... its the full season.
P.S.- The 22 was fast at Vernon and I wish he could have won, because it would have paid him more as a Dodge, either way 2nd is great !! Good job Scott.
