REAL:
All in all the rule changes were not big but costly. The Series although took forever to get going-
got going. The Tech lane became a second home for many. NASCAR is trying but this will take time.
Canadian Tire becomes a series sponsor and becomes the first really Canadian sponsorship every in a NASCAR Series.
REAL FACTS:
Nascar has taken a long time to get this thing rolling, unlike other Canadian Series, but is forced to
do so because its not all about racing, its about investments, sponsors and an alliance.
The car counts have been down but no more then any other series across North America that is struggling with a turn in industry growths and profits.
The Teams want to be there, but the dollars will run out until everyone takes this series to the next
level and then Corporate Canada should step up.
This Series is made up of racers that competed under the hand of Tony Novotiny, truly one of Canada's best race promoters, and his old staff is doing a great job trying to make this a success and I commend them on that.
If we had a sponsor we would be racing, but I still consider our team as a member of NASCAR and wish them the very best of luck and success.
REAL TRUTH:
As fans you sit in the stands and say they should do this, and they should do that.
You look at a Car on the track and say that guy is no good, or that guy is cheating.
You look at the price of ticket and realize you could have feed a small family for the same cost.
As Racers we sometimes do the same... but at the end of the day we are all racers and we do this because we love the sport.
Not all racers are Drivers or Team Owners, but they are all FANS !!!
thanks for the insight, was wondering where you had been you have not posted for awhile.
I am just sitting back and reading what everyone else has to say, and I have learned that I must be more politically correct when I say something because so many read it the wrong way.
In short... still here but less input !! Thanks
Ok I stand corrected about the body... But in my defense, I was going by info from before everything was finalized.
Thanks to all, specially to Midamerica for all he said.
