I'll have to admit that i do miss quite a bit of the action on the
track, and i do regret this sometimes. On the other hand, i find
photography very satisfying, so i have mixed feelings about it all.
Also, i try to avoid putting my back to oncoming traffic for safety
reasons, so i miss a lot of action at the other end of the track.
Yes, i do put the camera down once in a while and just enjoy the
racing.
It is hard to watch what is going on around you & the track while taking pictures isn't it Derek? Like you though, I find photography relaxing & enjoy doing it myself but also try to be aware of things going on around me at the same time, which can be a little difficult at times. Won't be doing any this year as I left my camera at home - didn't want to bring it to this dust bowl here. Look forward to seeing your pics as you post them my friend & may see you in late Aug or early Sept!
