Full Throttle
Looks like "The 360 Asphalt Sprint Cars" @ Flamboro Speedway in 2013 will have 7 events (once a month) April through until October. The Sprint Car Class schedule will be "PENDING" on a meeting with drivers/owners/sponsors and finalizing rules and the necessary paperwork for the class to run in 2013 by Flamboro Speedway/Full Throttle. More information will become available in the next week or two. If anyone is interested in racing/assisting with the future of this project, contact me (Gord Bennett) @ Full Throttle Marketing & Promotions.

....continues by saying the sprint cars will be cars that usually race dirt...one has tested 3 times at Flamboro and that there is a huge interest by drivers wanting to run these races as many are former pavement drivers...

Interesting too that Gord Bennett is the same Banzai67 that posted on this thread earlier.
Care to get us more details, Gord?

I'm not sure what information you would like me to give out?? Flamboro Speedway is going in a new direction in certain areas, trying to resolve issues and create a new atmosphere and attract new spectators and retain the current audience also try to bring attention to past fans of the Speedway. Ask anyone that attends racing, they all have "The Golden Answer" to fix or rebuild racing at this and all tracks. Not quite the same if you have to use "real" everyday tactics. The economy, other sources of entertainment and electronic games/computers add to the dilemma. Full Throttle will assist with Flamboro Speedway as we did in 2012, but we will expand on what we started this year and try to grow the historic facility. Hope that answered a little of your questions, Gord

The one thing about Flamboro Speedway that most people in the local racing scene overlook is the Owners, John and Frank Casale have provided the most stable facility for the past 40 years, not many tracks here or across the Border can claim that achievement!! Many come and go and sometimes appear to be "the newest/best thing" but the sizzle soon fizzles... Sure there have been issues and poor judgement calls but they are still here and have a "HUGE" love of the sport or the Track would have been a gravel pit a long time ago. Instead of frowning on them, they should be applauded on their commitment. The most misunderstood individuals in our sport, very loyal to staff, racers and are extremely hardworking considering their age!! Thanks John and Frank, from the Bennett's. Racing since 1963 (50 years in 2013)
