well when you have a 102" wheelbase compared to everyone else 105" you will be better in the corners and be able to get on the gas earlier than others as the car will be pointing in the right direction before a 105" car can get on the gas.

Justin
iam never going to let you near my car with a tape measure....lol ;D ;D

Okay, after reading the Elliott's web site,David is quoted saying he is going to spin Mcginnis.....not smart at all, tell me the officals were not watching for that???
What i find funny is,he going to spin him, cause he is roughing up other drivers,so i guess David Elliott is the super hero and is going to save his friends....The friend is Steve Laking, and we seen how he drives last sat,he almost killed Jeff Stewart running over the top of him,and making him drive st8 into the wall, very hard hit...glad he was alright..

I put the quote about David dumping Shane "if he touches me" well after the fact.  None of us were sure he would spin him,  but we were fairly certain Maginnis would be into the back of whoever was in front of him.  David wasn't concerned about the other cars Maginnis hit, he's no hero for sure,  he felt since the 03 was so much faster he should be able to go around not through when passing. Most drivers feel like David does, and sooner or later one or more will get tired of being hit.  Late Models at Flamboro use to run that way every night, wrecking the car in front by just driving into them, or at the minimum getting the car in front out of shape so they were able to pass. The racing has been cleaned up pretty good...not perfect.
The problem with cars so close, time wise, is they have a difficult time passing the car in front. Most of the top cars at Flamboro are within a tenth or tenth and a half.  It's very hard to pass when the competition is that tight, so a bumper to bumper race is what we get, but that cat and mouse scenario can be even more exciting as the car behind keeps pressure on the leader.
This whole deal wasn't good and I hope it gets dealt with soon.  Maginnis got the win, not because his car meets the rules, but because the things that were checked by Tech were okay. The trouble for teh 03 now is that so many teams, builders etc, have questioned the Tech people about the car, Flamboro will have no choice but to do the right thing.

i listen to 107.9 radio station all the time,Flamboro advertises on there, the ad saying for "FULL CONTACT RACING" come to Flamboro,it makes for exciting racing, not this freight train boring, paint drying crap racing.
If you get rubed, thats racing, come on....doesnt mean you go out and spin the guy,the flag man made the right call.Sometimes we all dont like their calls, but have to live with them.
Flamboro has been great for the 37 team,if they are down on there luck, show everyone what they are made of,change their program and step up to the plate.Dont show the weakness side of being a suck...come on, Ricky Bobby himself wouldnt stand for that... ::) ::) ::)
