Hamilton, ON - Hamilton’s Asphalt Arena, Flamboro Speedway, is bringing back its annual
FROST FEST invitational for Thunder Cars and Mini Stocks on Saturday, October 29th,
2011 but this time there’s a new challenge!!
Flamboro Speedway’s Thunder Car drivers will take on the world in the LONDON
RECREATIONAL THUNDER CAR CHALLENGE!! Flamboro’s regular Thunder Car
drivers will compete as a team against all visiting cars as “the other team.” And there’s a
$1,000 bonus to the team that wins!! Drivers from each team will qualify separately in
qualifying heats, then take on each other in TWO 35-lap feature events. Drivers will be
awarded points to their finishing position, and the top five drivers overall from each team will
determine who is the winning team. Those 5 drivers will split the $1,000 bonus money
evenly between them!
PLUS the top driver overall in the two feature races will win a $500 bonus!! With a purse
that offers the winner of each feature $500, one driver could be leaving at the end of the day
with $1,700 in winnings!
In addition to the London Recreational Thunder Car Challenge, there will also be a Twin 25-
lap event for Mini Stocks. Drivers will draw for starting position in the qualifying heats, and
then line-up for a heads-up start in the first feature. A dice roll will determine the inversion of
lead lap cars for the second feature race.
Pit gates will open at noon, and the grandstand will open at 1pm. Racing starts at 3pm on
Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Flamboro Speedway.
