Thats all good and fine, but the top runners at both tracks are within spitting distance of the SLMs. I know at our track, the guys are running faster that Beiderman and Hanley did in the early 80s with higher powered equipment.

Quite frankly, I don't see the SLMs as "all that" anyway...not anymore. They don't go that much faster. IMO, they're just a louder and funkier looking option for guys who like less limitations.

Anyway, the post I referred to was when you insinuated that the Delaware guys wouldn't be able to keep up...at Delaware. Shaw, Elliott and those guys have come to Delaware in the past and have been "maybe back end of the lead pack" at their very best. Maybe if they were regular competitors it'd change. I'm sure it probably would. But to suggest that Howse would come to Delaware and leave everyone behind? Nuts to that.

Tell you what though, if Paul does come out to Delaware and win the first time around, I'll come to Flamboro the next week and let you guys shave my head right on the start-finish line right in front of everyone.

How's that sound?

(and yes...I have hair)

He has a 60 thousand dollar car, and jr hanly works on it every weekend.

All that means is it'll have to be teched carefully.

The offer stands. If Howse can come down here to Delaware and beat Pearn, Lindsay, Verhoeven and crew, and still pass tech, then I'll do as I said I'd do.

Shadowracer & Latemdel28 here we go again talking about Flamboro drivers to Delaware drivers.Remember both tracks are different Size, different turns and different set ups.As you were saying Flamboro driver (Howse) would have a hard time winning atDelaware.Dito to Delaware drivers going to Flamboro and not winning there also.To win at these tracks you have to go there more than 1 or 2 times a year.Whether it is a $20,000.00 or $60,000.00 you have to go more than twice.Hopefully during the off season these tracks (Delaware & Flamboro) can get together and figure out something so these drivers can go to these tracks more than twice. And then you can say this driver is better than that one.

Really ? I can remember a few guys unloading at both places that had never seen either and blowing everyone away over the years Bob Senneker and John Benson sr  come to mind but i am sure i could come up with some others .

Im not trying to say that Howse is a better driver than anyone at delaware, i'm just saying I have seen that car on the track at it goes around like its on rails. Now I would also like to mention that when he starts out front he usually pulls half a track on second place. When he comes from the back its a little different but everyone knows flamboro is quite hard to get a car to run the outside and you usually have to nudge them up the traack or wait till they make a mistake.
