Thats all good and fine, but the top runners at both tracks are within spitting distance of the SLMs. I know at our track, the guys are running faster that Beiderman and Hanley did in the early 80s with higher powered equipment.

Quite frankly, I don't see the SLMs as "all that" anyway...not anymore. They don't go that much faster. IMO, they're just a louder and funkier looking option for guys who like less limitations.

Anyway, the post I referred to was when you insinuated that the Delaware guys wouldn't be able to keep up...at Delaware. Shaw, Elliott and those guys have come to Delaware in the past and have been "maybe back end of the lead pack" at their very best. Maybe if they were regular competitors it'd change. I'm sure it probably would. But to suggest that Howse would come to Delaware and leave everyone behind? Nuts to that.

Tell you what though, if Paul does come out to Delaware and win the first time around, I'll come to Flamboro the next week and let you guys shave my head right on the start-finish line right in front of everyone.

How's that sound?

(and yes...I have hair)

I wouldn't say the Supers aren't much faster, it depends on the track, if the LM's were running 15.00 then they are definately close because i was timing the winning Super in practice and was getting about 14.9 with old tires on, so most likely a tenth or two quicker on new ones, and I was told that the times for the same car at the end of the feature were still 15.1 after 50 laps..but at other tracks I think that they are quite a bit faster, down to low 13's at Peterborough and very low 13's to high 12's  on a good night at Barrie although there arent usually LM's there...and i think almost half a second faster anyways at Kawartha.  If there is a good car count i find them to be a much better show as well.

Yea, At barrie they were good to watch, btu that show was just plain awfull...snoozefest....they were able to pull off and come back on the trqack in the top 10 cause there were only like 10 or 11 running out of th e15 or so that started...
