I hope someone can post the Canam results, I didnt get too see any since we were getting car ready for feature during their heats.
I actually wanted to see how the #39 did myself, someone timing people said his times werent that far off top times.
Yah, I want to know how the #39 did too, a JCAR grad.
I'll keep it short and sweet. The car worked awesome when it was picking up fuel. Started 18th of 18, passed a bunch of guys before lap 5, then lost all the positions because it wasn't picking up fuel again. Then worked up into the top 5. Dropped a cylinder (probably caused by running too lean when it wasn't picking up fuel). Babied it to a 6th place finish. Was very glad to see the early checkereds, just hope I didn't do too much damage to the stove.
I'm thinking we're going to need some more sponsors if we're going to go through an engine per race.
haha 😉
one thing I've found that slows Flammy down is the victory photos after heat races which very few tracks do these days. I used to find that certain photographers seemed to be running the show, or should I say pacing the tempo of the program with umpteen heat victory shots. Hopefully that has changed.
Re food-they still haven't clued in that it's pretty easy to stop at the fast food restaurants in Waterdown 10 minutes from the track and you guys all know my pet peeve re the 3 line process to get a burger, fries, and a drink at the track.
I must admit even though it's my closest track, I only went once last year after going to over 30 shows during the season at various tracks and I guess it's a few things that tick me off. Highest admission price in Ontario for a weekly show-poor sound system-no debit or credit card transactions at the ticket booth like all other entertainment venues-lack of (outside) passing in the top divisions, inadequate washroom facilities when they do have large crowds (over 500 Steve? lol). The track configuration as it stands is good for 4 cylinders and thunders but I regret it was never improved vastly when it was rebuilt almost a decade ago so the wider late models could actually pass on the outside or run side by side through the corners.
Sorry to ramble. It likely has the best location of any track in Southern Ontario and the worst promotion and event staging. That's what's so frustrating.
I agree. ticket prices are a little stupid. 30 bucks for a weekly show? Dont give me the crap of there being the little gokart can ams there becuase thats bullcrap. so because they were there we have to pay their purse at the back gate????? Dont forget who your bread and butter is. It aint the can ams (especially the can ams)or any other travel series, it is the weekly show. If that keeps up meybe we use our drop nites on special weeks that cost more to get in I say. Lets get together on that and have maybe have one division boycot the night and rotate it. Lets see how the like that. But that will never happen because we racers are all too stuburn to get together on anything. Hey, it wont just save us 5 bucks a head but it will save the fuel in the cars and haulers and the tires and.......... everything. we get drop nights anyways so.
Just a thought.

This should be interesting.
It seems like the sensible way to do it.
