You are absolutely right here!!!!!This is a wake up call,things got way out of hand...Paying $70,000 + for a duelie diesel is nuts!!G.M. is still offering $10,000 debate on 3/4 ton and up trucks,and dont think everyone is not making money from it.
The dealership i work for,was rated #1 in canada,last month for overall sales.It was the best march they had in sales for 14 years.They were selling Uplander mini vans for $14.999 compared to $20,000 previously.Which had alot to do with it!! This month,you can buy an 09 6 cyl. basic pick up truck,for $14,999.
General motors will probaly go chapter 11 bankruptcy,and hopefully not pull out of Canada,but will continue to carry on with making the world's fastest production Zr1 corvette.

The story behide this one is,General Motors and their dealerships, was promoting for everyone to stay positive,with thinking your glass should be half full,not half empty!!
Sounds great,until the day you show up for work,and the dealership you work for,has closed it doors.They are saying,by 2012,over 400 G.M. dealerships across Canada will be shut down.
