oldbill, can you explain what happened and why the 52 car of Lyons got his spot back after spinning someone..thks
No I can't explain that one.
i also think the flagging was very well done the whole weekend, except for that final late model race which was horrible.
Gary Elliot on his website said the call on Simone was horrible also. Kudos to Gary for defending another competitor whose demise actually helped him advance a position. Very classy.
Lyons-really questionable-it wasn't even borderline like the call on Mark Watson who was black flagged in the first fifty for spinning the 27 out of 4th (when it appeared the 27 was blowing oil smoke for the entire race and likely skating on his own oil). Should have been the black meatball flag on the 27 earlier.
But-the good thing is we're talking about it and this might get more fan interest. The bad, how to get more late models out and that won't likely happen until they change lm tire suppliers and I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Cheers-ML
Scott should not have gotten his spot back and he even knew that. I drove right threw that wreck and ended up restarting on the outside instead of the inside. On the restart I got a little too friendly with the wall and that ended our day!! Was a fun race weekend though.
Heres the thing I don't get about the whole Lyons deal..... the announcer said " the ruling is he wasn't the cause of the accident" (which he was or at least looked like) but say for the fact of this argument he did totally get choped and wasn't the "cause"..... he was still an INVOLVED car. when a car gets spun...it wasn't there fault but they still go back as well.
It just made no logical sense what so ever.
