Yet I'm also hearing of guys that have stock equipment that are getting called for no more than a bit of steel mesh above the back bumper.

Could it be that the 11 was a 2 door Post car that has beed modified to a coupe, that woud change the body lines. Also note that the roll bar padding at the halo is covered in blue making the car look more squat.
The lines on a Ventura a different than that of a Nova, look at 1975 Ventura pictures. The cars look lower in the green house.

After discussion with the OP and other mods, we've decided this thread has run its course. We thank you for your input. Its created some good dialogue and is being put to good use. But anything further wouldn't be constructive here.
