Rules wise, I'm not much of an opinion one way or the other, but I'd urge the powers that be to take a good hard look at the reason we dropped from 16 mods to "10 if we're lucky" and do whatever is humanly possible to keep that very same thing from happening to the Late Models. After what, 4 years of underslung LMs? We're finally at a spot where used stuff is readily available and its showing in the car counts. I just don't want to see us right where we want to be, then flushing it because the rules changed and some guys became obsolete.
We had the most amazing LM season we've seen since the 80s IMO, and I'm loath to see it messed with.
More later..
Lets hope that the management does not eliminate the mods as they have done at other tracks???
Maybe the track champion can muster up some support for this entertaining class????
WTF Do we need a curb for? Put a curb in and you want less wrecks?LMAO. Dont listen to bad advice just go and have fun the na sayers can stay home.
The trucks could use a radial street tire for the entry division. The bias is tuff for new guys. Just my opinion
I like the curb idea, will take some getting used to but I am sure most would adapt..
Great idea on the tires for the trucks, and I am sure they would be alot cheaper than buying them from Mike...
Now the big question, has anyone of the current teams put these in writting to whomever is in charge of the rule book?

Curbs make cars jump lanes when they are hit.
We are trying to get away from wrecking stuff not add to it.
The tires even though street tires would probably still be supplied through Mike
this just doesn't pertain to D'ware but I'd like to see the three major lm tracks (Kawartha, Delaware, & Flammy) go to a common tire rule for late models. Right now the three tracks use three different brands which is ludicrous (Goodyear, Hoosier, and American Racer are used at the respective tracks). But I guess the promoters like it that way to keep their cars from wandering................

At first glance, "keeping cars from wandering" might be part of the reason, but I'm not sure its the whole reason. I think there's more to it.
I think it also has to who the track is dealing with. If our sponsor sells X tire and their sponsor sells Y tires...than thats the way it goes...its politics.
What I'd like to see at Delaware is an "invitational rule" where say Flammy and Kaw drivers can run their home track's tires for special events, but if the tire width is deemed an advantage, then you strap in some lead to compensate.
But, maybe its not that simple. I don't know.
