I would like to see better communication between the track marshalls and the tower. For that matter, have a marshall in turns 2 and 3 who have the authority to call off a race due to weather. I am basing this on the rediculous Trucks wreck (which wiped out half the field) that was entirely the fault of the turn 3 marshall (if there even was one).
Seems pretty simple to me.
Well at 23 seconds a lap that rain came in on one end and while the field was at the other so thats approximately 12 seconds to get the call, pull the flag, hit the lights wave and get the trucks whoaed up. Is it just me or does seem highly unlikely.
I recall seeing rain in the turn 3 lights, and feeling a drizzle 3-4 laps before the wreck.
Than how is it the fault of the turn 3 marshall? The video that was posted looked pretty good on the opposite end of the track on the lap immediately before the wreck 😮
I still believe no one was at fault there. I was in turn three that night, in the pits. The rain came like a wall, with no warning. In other words, no one had a chance.
