Well said son about the the fiberglass leaf springs!! That one was tough to get your head around when so much stuff has to remain stock. On the tire issue I already bought 4 new tires so I don'twant to see any changes. Changes of a big nature should be done with a mid season meeting and implemented the follwing year. They should be voted upon and settled and ADVERTISED, again in the mid season previous to the season they are t obe implamented. Safety issue obviously we require a different agenda. The driver / owner points are wierd but I don't care that much about them.
Hans devices shouold be considered heavily this off season. A 100 mph is fast anyway you slcie it

I stand to be corrected but the rule changes are advertised and input is souhgt from all parties WHO are willing to put it in writting and or email.. i think the notice went out on the home page late August...again if I am wrong the nachos are on me turn 4 first night

Again I still feel making changes in the off season doesn't really help that much. You should have time to really think things out and make a well informed decision. Being we are new here I can't offer much insight on what has gone on but I can tell you how frustrating rules changes are when you are uniformed. I spent $800 dollars so far on our rear end to prevent our little broken axle adventure from re-occuring. This was done with in the rules for 2009 so you can see how changes can cost you money if something were to change in the off season. I had submitted a few suggestions last spring and the results were positive. Although I asked about fresh air boxes and nobody seemed to agree that they actually save you money by getting way cleaner air. Anyway what ever changes come about I hope they limit them to cost saving ideas and go easy on the big dollar stuff, after all this economy still isn't the greatest. I can say MOST things in this class really do make sense and the Delaware cars and the drivers are the class of the division at all the tracks who run a simular division.

I think Matt lake can asure that any changes are made with the division, cost, and best interest in the sport in mind.
I am not sure about your air box, but in looking over the rules i am sure they do not want to get into induction sysytems or some form of that.

I can tell you prior to me selling, and or most of the changes in the off season were minimula witrh the exception of the first or second year god was involved.. During that period it was major changes, but we had a lot of meetings with both Jeff and kevin and they were there to work with us in getting the race track going in the correct direction..

Good luck in 2010, and we will be back on the hill not in the pits... far cheaper that way, and the ex gets her money on time unlike the racing days when she was paid after the repairs...

At Flamboro we just used the Allstar aluminum pan deal, cheap and easy and not really a box per say the hood was actually the top half. it was more of a deflecter but it kept clean air coming in from off the windshiled. The air had way less dirt in it.

You can run those at Delaware, but it can not seal to the underside of the hood and it has to be 4" or more from the fire wall at any point
